Gwinnett County District 1 Commissioner hosting two town halls

In less than a week, District 1 Commissioner Kirkland Carden will host two town halls to hear residents’ comments, questions, and ideas.
“Taxation without conversation is wrong,” said District 1 Commissioner Kirkland Carden. “The purpose of these two events is to help answer questions and alleviate any concerns. I look forward to having a productive conversation with our residents regarding their annual property tax bill.”
During the town halls, Carden will share information about Annual Notices of Assessment, which are mailed to property owners each year, and how to understand them. He’ll also discuss how the millage rate, which the Board sets each July, affects property taxes.
The town halls will be held:

Wednesday, July 13 at 7:00pm at Shorty Howell Park located at 2700 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth
Friday, July 15 at 7:00pm at Pinckneyville Park located at 4758 South Old Peachtree Road in Peachtree Corners

The events will also be livestreamed on Gwinnett County’s Facebook page @GwinnettGov.
