The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners approved a scoping study for the Piedmont Pathway Trail alignment. The 12-month study will establish a corridor pathway with alternative routes, if path barriers are identified.
The study will foster community input with an overall goal of connecting Gwinnett trails to others in DeKalb and Barrow counties.
This $325,000 project is funded 74 percent by the Atlanta Regional Commission, 18 percent by 2017 SPLOST funds, and 8 percent by the County. This trail is one of several signature trails proposed in the Gwinnett Trails Master Plan.
