Commissioner Watkins to host town hall on veterans services
On Monday, September 26, Vice-Chair and District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins — a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel — will host a town hall to discuss services and programs available to Gwinnett’s veterans and their families.
“As a veteran, I know how difficult it can be to navigate services available to us,” said Watkins. “Our goal with this town hall is to leave with marching orders on where we have gaps, but also share the numerous services and programs already available to our veterans and their families right here in Gwinnett.”
Watkins will be joined by representatives from Gwinnett Community Services, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 90, the American Legion Post 232, and health care professionals to share information and answer questions.
The town hall will be held at 6:00pm in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium, located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.
