Attend the Sheriff's Office Become a Star Career Expo
Begin your career in law enforcement at the Become a Star Career Expo on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
During the event, applicants will have an opportunity to learn about the initial hiring process and complete an orientation. Interviews will be conducted onsite and conditional job offers will be extended to qualified candidates.
The Sheriff’s Office offers a $4,200 hiring bonus for certified deputies and a $3,200 hiring bonus for deputy sheriff jailers. Additional benefits include a three percent raise for associate degrees, six percent raise for bachelor’s degrees, a comprehensive benefits package, equipment, training, and more.
Applicants must:
Be 20 years old at the time of application
Be a United States citizen
Have a high school diploma or GED
Have a valid driver’s license
Pass a comprehensive background process and an oral interview
